Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins is an Mexican American journalist. Her employer is ESPN as a SportsCenter News Anchor. She started working for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. Since she was nine years old, Collins's capacity to speak two languages has led to her obtaining the job she wanted in Miami as an assistant production for Univision. In this role, she had the opportunity to collaborate with national program producers like Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Her next job was as a Sports Reporter at CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. The stories she covered were about immigration and drug trafficking in both Texas and Mexico. In addition, she was an anchor for weather anchors, sports anchors and forecasters. Then she anchor and wrote on Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was granted more responsibilities. She created pieces for Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted her own local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She was anchor for the sports segment of Despierta America Deportes morning show. She also served as a sports anchor in Primer Impacto, a magazine program on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collin's parents originally hail from Veracruz Mexico. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November the 22nd of November, 1985. She also has an older sibling. Her family relocated into Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. In 1992, her parents separated soon after. In 1995, she got married again Fabio Fajardo, a naval engineer who passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. It was on a summer vacation that she stayed with her sibling living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured the job. Antonietta was a senior high school student, but she had a very clear vision of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University to find out if the school was suitable for her. In the end she was enthralled with the university. The university offered her the opportunity to study a major. After high school, she graduated and enrolled into media school at the college. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the director of WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was an affiliate. Mark Bergmann inspired her to be self-confident and also his love in journalism was a huge influence on her. She, in turn, strived to live up to his standards and never let him down.
